RUTABAGA PIE (FORMERLY KNOWN AS GOLDEN FEELINGS DJ SERVICES) was founded by Dustin Krcatovich, a.k.a. DJ Golden Feelings, in 2016.

Dustin started DJing in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2008 as a way to justify — and offset the costs of — the incredible amount of vinyl he had been accumulating while working as a clerk at Encore Records. What started as casually spinning records between bands at rock shows turned into wedding gigs, charity events, and recurring nights at popular cocktail lounges. Eventually, the work at the record store became a side hustle to the DJ work!

After a stint in Portland, Oregon from 2013-2020 (where DJing had been a primary source of income), Dustin packed up his gear and lugged it all back to Southeast Michigan, where he’s making it available to serve you!

When not DJing, Dustin also makes psychedelic ambient music under the name Golden Feelings and designs and produces posters and merch for bands and other arts organizations as Thick Air Graphics & Print. Until 2023, he was also an active music and arts writer or some note, writing for such outlets as Esquire, the Quietus, AllMusic, FLOOD, DownBeat, Tiny Mix Tapes, Riot Fest, Under the Radar, and many more.
